Overview
The President strives to have EARCA’s objectives realized through program delivery, activities and communications.
Responsibilities
- Preside at meetings of the Executive and at the AGM of the Association; chairing all meetings according to parliamentary procedures (Robert’s Rules of Order).
- Prepare agenda for each meeting and deliver by the day prior to meeting.
- Appoint a member of the Executive to act as designate in the absence of the President and President Elect.
- Ensure that all Executive members are given training in their duties.
- Ensure that committees are organized and that they undertake and complete required tasks.
- Be bondable and act as a signatory on documents and cheques drawn on EARCA funds, as required in the conduct of EARCA affairs.
- Act on behalf of the Association and be its representative in dealings with government, outside agencies, the City of Saskatoon, public functions, and the media.
- Oversee the contents of the newsletter and proofread the final edition.
- Ensure regulatory filings are completed (ISC, insurance filings)
- Ensure harmony amongst Association Membership
- Provide Direction and Initiatives for EARCA
- The President is an ex officio to all committees
