Overview
The Communications Coordinator promotes the Association by preparing and arranging for distribution of the Association’s newsletter, facilitating social media and website communications and assisting with revenue generating advertising opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Ensure that the Association’s events and activities are reported in the newsletter, online and in the school newsletters.
- Establish a newsletter preparation and distribution schedule, along with a list of anticipated content for each newsletter issue.
- Prepare an annual budget projection for all communication expenses.
- Write and/or solicit articles from community members and other board members.
- Solicit advertising from within/near the neighbourhood adhering to the EARCA advertising policy and rates as outlined in advertising policy.
- Coordinate a distribution method for newsletters that is economical, efficient and effective.
- Work with the Web Coordinator to post the newsletter and other announcements on the applicable platforms. (eg. website, Facebook, Communibee)
- Provide Treasurer with expense reports in the required form and in a timely manner.
- Prepare year-end report for presentation to the Executive and AGM.
