{"id":3964,"date":"2020-09-21T20:48:07","date_gmt":"2020-09-22T02:48:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/earca.ca\/?p=3964"},"modified":"2020-09-21T20:48:07","modified_gmt":"2020-09-22T02:48:07","slug":"smba-return-to-play-summary-2020","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/earca.ca\/index.php\/2020\/09\/21\/smba-return-to-play-summary-2020\/","title":{"rendered":"SMBA Return to Play Summary 2020"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sport and recreation play an important role in the social, emotional and physical wellbeing of individuals and our wider community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As we start up our Fall\/Winter programming we hope to give players and parents the social, emotional and physical time needed to stay healthy and happy in these trying times.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00d8 Please be aware this is all contingent on return to play guidelines as set out by Basketball Saskatchewan, the Saskatchewan Health Authority and Basketball Canada<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Please watch the SMBA website for any changes based on these guidelines<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">SMBA&#8217;s plan as of September 14, 2020 (based on current return to play guidelines):<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mini and Bantam \u2013 registration is open for our full year of programming<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Part A \u2013 will be October -December at the Martensville Athletic Pavilion in Martensville. This program will mainly consist of Thursday and\/or Saturday sessions \u2013 with part time for half court practice and the part for game play.<\/li><li>Part B \u2013 Jan 2021 \u2013 March 2021 \u2013 return to play games in the Saskatoon Public and Catholic schools as rentals become available through the respective school boards.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dunkaroos, Spuds \u2013 full session to be played\/run January to March 2021<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Registration will open Mid October \u2013 please check website regularly for more details<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Junior and Senior (formerly Midget and Juvenile) will run a modified program Jan 2021 to March 2021<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Registration will open Mid October \u2013 please check website regularly for more details<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Registration information:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>All players must register individually and will be placed on teams in conjunction with community association basketball coordinators. (we do not accept team registrations).<\/li><li>At this time, we are not taking requests for players to play with or for certain coaches.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Please remember we are trying to keep kids active and give everyone the opportunity to play so your cooperation with any regulations related to COVID 19 are greatly appreciated.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sport and recreation play an important role in the social, emotional and physical wellbeing of individuals and our wider community.
